35 Weeks

How far along?: 35 weeks....2 weeks to full term, though likely 6 weeks before she's here.....
Total weight gain: 26lbs and feeling very pregnant....
How big is baby?: Supposedly she is her full length now; 19-21 inches and about 5.5lbs.  Baby will just be packing on the fat from here on out.
Maternity clothes?: Definitely.  I have one non-maternity shirt I can wear and I feel like my maternity pants are getting snug.
Stretch marks? Nope, though I feel like I could split open!
Sleep?: Sleeping really well lately.  I discovered if I sleep propped up on three pillows, I can sleep comfortable all night pretty much in one position.  I've been sleeping about 9 hours per night lately on days I don't work.....
Best moment this week?: Knocking out the To Do list!  Clothes/blankets/sheets washed and folded, diapers/wipes/Desitin bought, swing/pack 'n play cleaned and set up, pacifiers/nursing pads/milk bags bought......and bag starting to get packed for the hospital.
Movement?:  Strong stretching/shifting of limbs and rump.  Sometimes she is very active and I basically have to lay down so she can make snow angels in my ute.  Lots of other times she's pretty quiet though.  Gabrielle felt my belly one time when the baby was pretty active and she thought it was pretty crazy :)
Food cravings?: Recently getting to the point where I don't really want to eat...much else in my belly is really uncomfortable.  I'm eating small meals and foods easy on the stomach sound good.
Labor signs?: LOTS of Braxton hicks (which make anything by laying down pretty uncomfortable) and sometimes some aching in my very low back.
Belly button in or out? Definitely an odd shape of flat/sort of sticking out
What I miss: Being able to move and feel normal.  In the past week or so this pregnancy has whooped me.  I like feeling 100% and I definitely feel like I'm slowing down.  I was doing Cardio Dance and Zumba at the gym but I think I may be done with that until baby girl arrives.
What I'm looking forward to: Baby girl's nursery is done....I'm just waiting on the area rug.  We are getting Gabs a new dresser this weekend, so we will be able to put baby's clothes in her dresser soon (instead of folded in box).

A few of the 0-6 month outfits.  It is such a time warp going through all of Gabby's old clothes!

And I had to get a new diaper bag of course........

Oliver Maxwell - Age 3!

Our little guy Oliver Max is now three years old!  He's still a sweet little boy and has made many strides in the past several months.

  • He sleeps well at night, 8pm - 7am.  He naps a preschool but recently started to not nap at home.  He isn't waking at night anymore which is nice!
  • He started Preschool in November 2015!  I had a lot of anxiety about him moving from the toddler room to the big preschool room, but he has done really well and likes it!
  • He was going pee at school pretty well but wouldn't go in the potty at home stating "I got potty at school" and had never gone #2 in the potty.  We were putting off potty training but finally decided to do it early February 2016.  We took pull ups away (that he was just peeing in all day anyway) and he did surprisingly well, only having a little accident a couple of times.  Going #2 in the potty was quite the struggle.......he had some #2 accidents and would hold it for days at a time.  He would do this panicked running in place thing when he had to go......he finally went in the potty for the first time but it still took a week or two for him to get totally comfortable with it.  He's a pro now and potty training actually went quite well!  He is very interested why mommy "doesn't have to point it down" though....
  • He loves thrills, he loved the fair rides this summer, water slides, jet ski, 4 wheeler, etc.
  • He is obsessed with Thomas the Train and that is basically the only thing he wants to wear, play with, get a present, watch on TV.  He had a Thomas birthday by request and thought is was the most amazing thing.  He got so excited and said "thank you for my decorations, mommy!!!" For Christmas he only asked for "Thomas".
  • At his yearly allergist appointment in Fall 2015 we found out that he is not allergic to MILK!!!  Which is hugely amazing.  He has had a couple of little accidents with milk and nothing happened.  His skin/blood tests came back really low so we started introducing it.
  • His favorite things are trains, his tricycle, and puzzles.  The kid loves puzzles!
  • His favorite color seems to be blue and loves wearing sweat pants or pajamas.....when we are home he will randomly come downstairs dressed in his "fuzzy Thomas" (fleece Thomas pajamas)
  • He doesn't like superheros right now......he calls them all "bad guys"
  • He did his first class a couple of months ago - preschool basketball class at our gym.  He didn't participate the greatest.....he just wanted to shoot baskets the whole time.  And when they took turns taking shots for baskets and refused to get back in line until he made the basket.....but he ended up on the gym advertisement for the class with some super cute pictures he took :)
  • He wears mostly 3t stuff, though many pants are 2t.  Quite a few 2t things still fit too.
  • At 3 years Oliver was 29lbs (21st %) and 36in (17%).
