She also is obsessed with purple, blue, and pink. She knows and can say all of those colors and constantly looks for things that she can label the color.
Random things she especially excited about right now are motorcycles (mo-mo's) and the lobster tank at the grocery store. We have to sit and watch the lobsters "swim" around the water in the tank for about 15 minutes before we're allowed to move on. And Gabs knows right where the tank is in the store and directs me there promptly as soon as she gets in the cart. She also loves to see/hear motorcycles and scream "momo!!" every time she gets a glimpse of one.
She is learning new words (push, shoes, boots, couch, turtle, sand, etc...). And is putting a few more two-word sentences together (more please, mommy read, dog outside, dog hop hop [what she said for about an hour straight after Oskar ate a frog....], dada poo poo [hahaha] and some others.
And I guess I could follow up our "depacifiering" conquest. We had about two weeks of shortened sleep - she probably slept 1-2 hours less at night and napped a little bit shorter too. After that, she readjusted and is back to normal. EASY! And for the record, I think she was ready. All along I hoped she would wean herself when she was ready (like she did bottles)......even though she didn't give it up voluntarily, the ease of the situation proved it was time. :)
And in addition to my previous post, Gabs was sick pretty much all week. We thought she was all better on Tuesday, and she was, but Wednesday mid-afternoon she starts crying and wanting to be held again. Took her temp and it was 101. WTF?! She just cried and I held her until she fell asleep on me again. Of course I was actually going to go my photography club meeting that meets once a month that night, so I cancelled the sitter and stayed with my bebe.
She looked SICK. She just laid on the couch with her eyes half open. I accidentally made her throw up too......the doctor said to medicate the fever since she was so miserable so I got a syringe full of ibuprofen ready. Gabs was crying and Nick was holding her....the syringe got stuck and then quickly released and shot into her throat - instant projectile vomit on Nick and our couch. Not good. She kind of [TMI] burped up a mouthful a couple of other times during the evening, but that was the only other symptom. She had a smaller fever the whole next day which I didn't treat because her demeanor was rather good. By Friday the fever was gone and she was almost back to her normal self. Whew. And I think our weird sickness saga has come to and end.
Nick Taylor's my daddy....can you tell? She found these all by herself and made her outfit. She LOVES dress up.

Then an airplane flew over head. It was exciting.

A great picture. I'm creating a love for rhinestone shoes early in her little life.....

Getting baby's blanket ready for her....

What a good mommy!

Then she decided to empty my wallet....one of the most entertaining things ever!
