I am 33 weeks pregnant and large, tired, but
ok! Baby is getting bigger by the day and her movements are getting more forceful. I have an anterior placenta so I didn't feel any movement until about 22 weeks or so, so it's good to get little reminders all day that she is doing
ok in there! Still no real complications to note which is great. My wedding and engagement rings are getting quite tight so I'm hoping the cool weather will come quickly and I can keep my rings on throughout the rest of the pregnancy. Nick and I went on a hospital maternity ward tour last Thursday. Seeing the actual triage, labor and delivery, and recovery rooms was a bit intimidating but I'm glad we went. At least now we know what to expect and feel a tad more prepared. We are taking a two-part labor and delivery class next month. It covers all sorts of things like when to go to the hospital, pain management options, an overview of both natural and
cesarean births, and recovery. I feel like I know most of what they are going to teach us but I think it will be beneficial to go (you can never be too prepared for something as unpredictable as labor....).
Well, on a more exciting note, I had my baby shower this past Sunday! It was a beautiful day and the shower was just gorgeous - I couldn't have asked for more. It was at Grandpa Ron and Grandma Billie's house and hosted by both Grandmas as well as Aunt Corinne (with tons of additional help from Penny, Pam, and Aunt Beth just to name a few). We had about 36 people attend, along with gifts sent in from out-of-town family and friends. Everyone was so generous and we are so grateful for everything we received. Below are a few pictures of the day.
