Boy or Girl?

19 weeks and 2 days! 

So the big question will be answered soon (hopefully).  Boy or girl??  I thought it was a boy from the moment I was pregnant, then went through a short period where I thought it was a girl, now I'm back to boy.  Not that I know.  A lot of other people have guessed boy as well, but everyone guessed Gabrielle was a boy too, before we found out. 

Everything has been about exactly the same as with Gabi, so at least I've known what to expect so far.  Morning sickness though the first trimester, food aversions to fish and large pieces of meat (i.e. anything other than hamburger, etc), large appetite roars in the in 2nd tri, heartbeats in the higher range, etc.  I haven't been light headed yet which I had pretty bad with Gabs in my 2nd tri with her.  Blood pressure is currently low though; at 16 weeks my systolic was below 100.

Things that have been different are that I had morning sickness earlier (started basically when I found out I was pg), haven't had any headaches yet which I had quite a few of last time, no dizziness (again, yet), and feeling baby kicks earlier.  It is crazy how strong s/he is already.  About a week ago I was just starting to feel baby taps and now I feel it kicking a lot!  Nick felt a good kick last night again.  Crazy!

Let's see what some old wives tales have to say.

Carrying low (or average for date?) so far.  BOY

Heartbeat has been above 140 so far [160 and 154].  GIRL

Craving salty.  BOY

Chinese Gender Chart.  GIRL

No more zits than usual.  BOY

Morning sickness.  GIRL

Well, there you have it.  Even some silly old wives tales can't give us a hint to whether boy or girl.  I think I'll be doing some hard core blue, green, and gray shopping on the 19th!  So we will see if I'm right!
