-Pulled himself to standing for the first time about a week after he turned 10 months. He was sitting in the tub, turned to reach the edge, pulled to his knees, then to his feet! He has pulled himself up a few other times too. He has started cruise a little bit more - if there is something he wants to get to he can take little cruising steps to get along furniture.
-As of a couple of days ago he can army crawl/scoot on his tummy! It's only for something he wants and he usually isn't happy about having to do it. But he can push with his little feet and scoot across the floor on his tummy.
-Loves to walk pushing a cart by himself. He just laughs and talks while he walks.
-Got his first pair of shoes this month.
-Is constantly going from sitting, over onto his hands and belly and rolling all over.
-He is cutting his 5th and 6th teeth - the sides on the top.
-He is down to ONE nap a day. A little early for that, but it is what it is. Goes down at 11:30a and is up usually between 1:30-2:30p. Sleeping a bit better at night - lots of nights only getting up once and sleeping 8-8ish otherwise.
-Has finally decided food is good. He eats three solids meals a day. He has tried chicken, turkey sausage, venison roast, French toast, roasted potatoes, beef stew, etc. He seems to really like meat and flavor. He likes raisins/crasisins, beef stew, taco beans, corned beef hash, and jambalaya. He has started to take some drinks of water out of sippy cups too, which is good. He nurses 4x/day and usually once in the night (though is more if he is sick/unhappy).
-He actually learned not to throw his food on the floor (most of the time). Now he will just throw pieces down onto his tray and we know he's done. Improvement, yes?
-In mostly 12 month sizes, but lots of 18 month shirts. Size 4 shoes and diaps.
-I got mastitis again this month. I am SO over getting that. Of course it happened on a Friday evening so the on-call physician told me to go to ER. I fought with him on the phone a bit and he agreed to call in antibiotics if I went to the hospital to have my blood drawn to make sure I wasn't septic. Sure. So that has been fun. So I am planning to start weaning. I'm planning on cutting out one feeding a week and he'll be totally weaned sometime around a year. The little guy is not going to like any of this one bit, so wish me luck.
-I'm a bad mom and we had his first allergic reaction this month. I bought him some barley teething biscuits. He ate one and face immediately broke out in hives. I thought he was allergic to barley too....ugh. But no, in reading the food label AGAIN, it contains milk. Oh my. If this kid survives to adulthood it will be a miracle! Luckily it was only hives all over his face that took a few hours to go away. He also had trouble nursing though too for a couple of days - coughed a lot while he was trying to eat. All is ok though, thankfully.
