Camille Penelope - 2 Months

Our princess Camille Penelope is now 2 months old! 

• She has made so many changes in the past month!
• Started smiling consistently around 6 weeks. She has a little one syllable giggle once in a while
• She coos sometimes and it's cute to hear her little voice
• She always has her hands in fists, clasped together, or in her mouth. She sucks in her hands when she's bored, upset, or hungry. Pretty much all the time. Won't take a pacifier, darn it. She is just beginning to hit at toys a bit.
• She is a drooling machine!
• We were bouncing her for 1+hrs each night in her bouncy chair to get her to fall asleep and then moving her to the Rock 'n Play in our room. Not the best set up. Getting ready for daycare I knew she needed to learn to sleep in a crib. I started trying a nap in the crib. She went down ok but would startle awake over and over again and just scream. I felt so bad for her. I ended up swaddling her and she did great! The first night she slept in her crib (almost 8 weeks) she only woke once st 2:30 and then slept until 7. Every night since she has slept through the night from 8 or 9 until between 4-630 and then until 7/7:30.
• She went to the lake house for the first time over Memorial Day for the weekend.  She did pretty well, but was quite fussy by the last day or so..... lots of fresh air and sunshine she isn't quite used to.  She liked the boat ride but didn't appreciate Nick dipping her feet in the cold lake.....haha.
• Camille's 2 month check up went well.  Her "thrush" which I'm not sure she ever had is gone.  Her eye goopiness improved after a day of eye ointment, so no ophthalmologist needed there.  She weighed in at 11lbs 13oz - 63% and measured at 21.5 inches - 10%.  I'm not so sure on the accuracy of the length, but whatever.  She continues to gain weight well which is great. 
• Camille is still completely breastfed and take a bottle well, thankfully!  She does not like formula, though that is for sure.  We gave up on trying that a while ago.  Breastfeeding is getting to the easy stage.....not that anything has really changed, but it's just getting easier.  I usually pump about 3oz extra each morning easily, and have about 20 bags of milk in the freezer so far.
• She is growing out of some 3 months stuff and wears either 3 or 6 month clothes, size 2 diapers. 
• Likes: Laying on the floor and having people get right in her face to look at her and talk to her.  Nursing.  The swing - looking around and looking at the bears that hang over it.  Bouncy chair and the toys that hang over it.  Grandma Jojo bought her a new playmat and she likes to lay under that and smile at the frog.
