Happy Independence Day! We enjoyed a much needed weekend at the lake with family and friends. I had Friday off of work so my mom and I went baby shopping to buy baby girl her first few things. It is very hard to find "wintery" clothes right now (which is what she will need for her first few months). Lots of cute summer things are out and on sale - but we don't know if we'll have a little peanut or somehow end up with a big baby so I restrained myself from getting her summer clothes for next year. We found some cute little pink ruffle pants, a couple of newborn sleepers, a nice pink cardigan-set outfit, and of course some ballerina socks. In a couple of weeks I think we are going to go start looking at cribs, bedding, and a few other big items to get us started.
We had a good time at the lake this weekend. No water skiing, tubing, or cocktails for me but it was still a great time! Nick's sister Mistye is due with a boy a day before I'm due with our girl, so we had to get a little comparison shot (21 weeks 6 days and 21 weeks five days):
I had a check up with the doctor this past week and he verified that from what they could tell from the ultrasound everything appeared normal with me and the baby. The only thing is I have been having some dizzy spells lately so he prescribed some compression stockings to keep the blood out of my legs and up in my head, and to add more salt to my diet to keep my blood pressure up. Other than that, things are going well and I'm feeling good!
