We are having a baby girl! We had our 20 week ultrasound on June 23rd and everything looked perfectly healthy. She measured exactly to date and weighed 12 ounces - so my due date of November 9th looks like a keeper! We really wanted to find out the sex of the baby, but we were thinking baby wasn't going to agree with our plans. Throughout our whole scan little one sat breech with her knees crossed and wasn't really interested in getting out of that position. We had a really great ultrasound tech but little one just wasn't cooperating. Finally, the tech started telling us about an elective ultrasound that we could pay for in 6-8 weeks where they will try again to see the gender....I was getting a little bit flustered and asked if I could get up and walk around to see if the baby would move. The tech agreed so a got up for a couple of minutes and when I laid back down little one had turned sideways and gave us the shot to know that she is definitely a she! We are so thankful that she looks healthy and we can now start planning for our baby daughter!
Most everyone thought (or insisted) that I was having a boy so it was so much fun calling all our friends and family to tell them about our little GIRL that we were expecting!
On Father's Day weekend....just a few days before we found out we were having a girl!
