2 Years Old

Gabrielle Sophia - I can't believe you are two years old!  So much has happened in this past year....you went from a toddling little baby to a running, talking, singing, dancing little person!  Your speech still continues to make giants leaps.  As of a few days ago you are literally were copying everything we said.  "Awesome!", "go green go white go state" (guess who taught you that...", "pepperoni", and you sang your very first song!  Out of no where you starting saying "Jojo fall down....Jojo fall again!".  Haha, it worried me a bit and then you broke out into singing Ring Around the Rosie!  You did this at the library with Jojo while mommy and daddy were in Mexico, and I guess you remembered it! 

Here you are.....you say "Ready set go!  Ring a rosie, ashes, ashes, all fall....down!"



And...."Awesome!!!"

New books (you get very irritated when we try and read new books to you.....you need a buffer period of days to weeks to get used to them before you become obsessed:)
New shoes.  You have a REAL hard time accepting new shoes into her life....silly girl.

You call yourself "Bobby". It is a very distinct "Bobby" and you are determined that that is your name and you are saying "Gabi" exactly the same way we are. I can't wait until this phase is over, because I really don't want my beautiful girl to be known as "Bobby" forever :/  Yesterday I was really working with you to say "Gabi" and you actually did once or twice, but then it was back to Bobby.....

You consistently speak in 4-5+  word sentences and like to talk to strangers about random things that interest you.  To grocery store clerk "Gage baby Eeeeen home.  Go Jojo's watch Otis too!"  Haha, I love to watch people's expressions and try to figure out a response :)  You tend to get your m's & b's, and n's & d's mixed up.  So "milk" comes out "bilk" and "no" comes out "doh". 

Wear mostly 2T clothes, though a lot of 18 month pieces fit.  You're in size 6 shoes this winter and size 4 diapers. 

You can count to 3.  I think your stubbornness comes into play here.  It's funny because you love to count....but only to three.  You count everything but it's usually "1 2 1 2 3 2 3".   

Have known all your colors since 20 months.  And knows circle, square, triangle, heart, and star shapes.

Can say lots of family and friends names: Mommy,  Dada/Da-ee, Papa Pah (my dad), Papa Ron, JoJo (my mom), Na Na Biwee (Grandma Billie), Uh-uh Jase (uncle Jason), Kin (Aunt Corinne), Lanin (Landyn), Kees (Caresse), Gage, Baby Een (Ian), Ah-shur (Oskar) and probably more!

You love to add "too" to all your sentences.  A lot of times it makes sense, but sometime it definitely isn't needed......I just think you like to use as many words as possible.

It has been so much fun to spend this year with you. I thought the development from birth to one was amazing, but one to two was equally as exciting! You've said your first words, starting coloring, you play with baby dolls, like to dress up, love to run and climb, and so many more things. You make us laugh ALL the time and you are such a joy to so many people. I try and take in each day because next year will be dance classes and tricycles....the year after will be preschool.....and it all will just go so quick.  We love you so much!
