She has WICKED drama tantrums which consist of her screaming "NO!" over and over again, kicking her legs, crying on the floor like there is no tomorrow. Even things she usually really likes she throws a fit about and says "NO NO NO!!!". These fits can last 5-30 minutes + and usually are turned off in an instant. Talk about Jekyll and Hyde baby....
It is basically power struggles. That is totally what it is. And that is fine....she usually has 1-2 of those per day, and is otherwise a normal, sweet little girl.
Another thing that adds to the drama trantrums is frustration. She has done this ever since she was a baby - she gets so into playing with something and eventually it isn't going right anymore and she gets so angry. It's pretty normal that we eventually have to redirect her because she is getting so worked up doing what she is doing.
BUT.....being two is pretty cool too.
Last night she ate three eggs for dinner (usually hates eggs), she peed on the potty, and wanted to sleep with a pillow for the first time.
She also peed on the potty right away when she woke up this morning. YAY!!! She was really excited to too. She said "I did it!! Yay!!!" and clapped her hands. So cute.
She is still obsessed with the dogs and love bossing them around. She loves "brushing" them, hugging them, sitting on them, and telling them what to do. "Sit Oskar! Good boy! Go downstairs! Lay down!" Now she even tells Nick "good boy daddy" when he does what she wants her to do. Hahahaha.
She can count to 10 now all of a sudden. It's not perfect all the time, but she just busted out counting today. Crazy!
She is really into pretending. She named her new baby doll "baby JoJo" (JoJo is what she calls my mom, so it's really cute!). She'll put baby JoJo on her Pooh train and say "By mom! Go McDonald's buy pancakes and sausage. Go shopping by fruit pouches!". And she'll push baby JoJo away.
Her glasses are great. They aren't even any sort of issue; they're the new normal. Her eye crossing has basically totally disappeared, but when we take her glasses off it is instantly evident again.
And then on a sad note, "fishy broken" this morning. I think we'll head to Meijer and get a new fish today. She wants a purple one. Go figure.
And here's some fun dancing, just because.
