- Is in all 3-6 or 6 month clothes as of a couple of weeks ago.
- Size 2 diapers
- Weighs in at 13lbs 12oz which is about the 60th percentile I think. We had to go to the doctor today because Gabs brought home a lovely little cold again from preschool which Oliver got, of course. He ended up getting a green goopy eye which is why we went to the doctor. All is just fine; she sent in a script for eye drops but we'll wait another day or two to see if heals on his own.
- After several nights of horrid sleep we took him out of his swaddle and put him in a sleep sack. He is sleeping well and can soothe himself (a little bit) but is waking 2-3 times a night to eat. I'm not a fan of this, but not sure what to do......
- Goes to bed about 9pm (usually takes a couple of tries and maybe some rocking by Nick to get him down), and is up about 7:30 with waking usually 2-3 times in between. His wakings are on no schedule what-so-ever....it's always a fun surprise. The past few days I have been having him nap in his crib instead of his bouncy chair, which is going really well. He takes 3-4 naps a day.
- Squeals, coos, and had even laughed a couple of times. I got him to really laugh for the first time a day shy of 12 weeks - he was on his changing table and I kept nodding my head really big and saying "yes!". He thought it was hilarious.
- Sucks on his fist. And he gets the stinkiest hands because of it.....those wet little fists all day. Eww.
- He also yells sometimes, especially before he sneezes. It is quite loud and pretty funny!
- Can stand well on his legs when you stand him up.
- Loves to lay on his changing table and have "conversations". There is always a lot of smiling and cooing when he's on there.
- Has just started to try and hit and touch toys.
- Has started to track toys with his eyes well. He also will hold onto his blankie or sometimes a toy if they are in his lap.
- Has almost rolled over both ways! Not sure when he'll actually truly do it but it's a start.
- Still trying to get him to take bottles. We tried doing "bottle boot camp" a couple of weeks ago where I just wasn't going to nurse and he'd have to take a bottle. Well, after two hours of screaming (and gagging and refusing a bottle) he fell asleep hungry. I finally just nursed him because he obviously wasn't going to take the bottle.......and if he didn't eat all day he would really be up all night making up for it. Mom cave. Fail. In retrospect (and internet researching) this wasn't the best idea.
- Is still exclusively breastfed (obviously, per above) and I'm happy I made it to my first goal. There have been continuous, though lessening, bumps in the road but I made it to my first goal of three months. Next goal is six months and we will see from there.
Loves his bear suit! It's the only way he tolerates his car seat well.
The birth mark on the back of his head. And his blonde mullet.
Loves sucking on his hands....
He just started really liking the animals on his bouncy chair

2 Months
