Oliver is 15 months old and a real toddler now! We went for his 15 month check up and boy did he not like it. She found he had a double ear infection which was a fun surprise.
Everything else looked good - she wasn't concerned that he still can't crawl. Oh well!

- He is still a calm little dude. He loves to be held and rocked. As soon as he sees either of his grandmas he holds his arms straight out to go to them. He is really chill and so sweet.
- He can climb stairs - I forced him to learn this about a month ago. He screamed the whole way but he picked it up and now loves to do it. He only steps up with his left leg so I try and work with him to get his other leg strong too. He can't go down at all yet
- He loves to throw things. A favorite is to throw balls or blocks over the baby gate downstairs.
- His favorite thing is balls -seriously his favorite toy ever. He says "ball" and "but-ball" (football). He loves anything round - balloons, watermelons, anything - and he calls them all "ball!" We tried to go bowling as a family a couple of weeks ago - Oliver saw all of the bowling balls displayed on the shelves. He was in heaven....waddled over there and tried to pick them all up and play with them. When he couldn't move them at all because they were so heavy he lost his mind. Screamed at the top of his lungs. He wasn't about to get over seeing all of the balls everywhere and not being able to play with them so we ended up having to leave.
- He can roll and kick balls too.
- Is great at stacking blocks! He can stack 1 inch blocks about 7 high. Loves to stack and play with nesting cups and hammer toys too.
- He loves getting his teeth brushed, he gets so excited when it's time.
- He likes looking at books but doesn't like me to actually read them yet.
- Likes eating wowbutter sandwiches, meatballs, any meat covered in bbq sauce, bananas, watermelon, raisins, chex, tuna, sunbutter granola bars, soy yogurt or fruit puree in pouches, pasta, green beans, corn. He doesn't really like potatoes or berries.
- Sleeps from 8pm - 7am straight with his blue and brown blanket. Naps from 12-2/3pm. It's weird to say he's actually a good sleeper at this point!
- Wears 18 month shirts and 12-18 month pants. Size four diaper and has grown out of his size 4 shoes.
- Kisses stuffed animals and dolls. "Mmm-ah!"
- Is quite vocal-such a smart baby! :) Says mommy, daddy, Goggy (Gabi), dog, nick, apple, unch (lunch), up-dees (upstairs), up, baby, ball, but-ball (football), uh oh, go, kitty, papa, nana (banana), all done, uh uh (cracker), oop (poop), more, and "daga-dee" (exactly what he always refers to his blankie as....). That's all I can think of at the moment.
- Loves slides
- Doesn't put with crap from other kids- he's bitten two kids at daycare so far. They were both messing with him, he gave a warning nudge back and then bit them when they kept bothering him......hehe. So not funny, but we at least can't totally blame him at this point, right?
- Got his first stomach virus - exactly one week after he started daycare he came down with a nasty GI virus (that we eventually all got). Poor little dude.
- He also loves to run away from you - he thinks it is so funny to run the opposite direction I am and have me chase him, he likes run our any doorway he can find....but ist the slowest waddle ever and he's cracking up the whole time :)
- He's been at daycare for about a month now and he is doing better. He still doesn't like us to leave him but some days he doesn't even get upset when we leave. He's a good boy there - eats and sleeps well. He plays well and loves the ladies there (they love him!).
| The first step he climbed! On accident....he freaked out and got stuck on the first one |
