It's November 9th; our sweet baby's estimated date of arrival. It is looking like she will officially be making a late checkout into the world. It's about 12:30pm and I'm feeling pretty much the same. It has been absolutely beautiful outside the past few days (sunny and about 65-70 degrees in November!) so Nick and I raked leaves and went for a few walks yesterday. Later in the day I was having some constant lower back pain, lots of BH contractions, and some all over discomfort...my optimistic mind hoped that it wasn't just my body's reaction to activity and that I would maybe go into labor that night. I went to bed still quite uncomfortable but slept straight through the night (not counting the 3-4 times getting up to pee, obviously) and woke up in the morning just like any other morning. Darn. I go back to the doctor tomorrow where I'm sure she'll check my progress again and then schedule a non-stress test and fluid ultrasound to make sure the baby is still doing ok in there. I'll be back for an update tomorrow...
In some more exciting news - I am an aunt and Nick is an uncle! Nick's sister, Mistye, had her baby boy Saturday morning - one day before she was due. Landyn Joseph Williams weighed in at 7lbs 1oz and was 21 inches long. Mom and baby are doing well and I can't wait to meet my little nephew at some point (soon hopefully)!
