Bounce by day...SLEEP by night!

Our little baby is 8 weeks old! Gabrielle is LOVING her bouncy seat lately! Ever since she was born I would set it in the bathroom and put her in it while I was doing my makeup and hair in the morning and she would tolerate it for about 5-10 minutes. All of sudden she is just loving being in it! She will kick her little legs and make the the seat bounce, and in turn, the toys bob back and forth. It's like she knows she is in control of making them move or something. She will just stare at those toys and smile and squeal. It is so cute! That seat suddenly entertains her for probably and hour at a time...I was able to clean the whole bathroom, sanitize the railings and knobs throughout the house (yes, I'm a bit psycho with this nasty stomach flu that has been going around), as well as do something else all while Gabi was happy in her little chair today. I also bought a small, portable CD player to put in her pack 'n play or wherever. Grandma Billie has lots of fun kids CDs that she loaned me since Gabi likes music so much. So with the chair and the CD player she was one happy baby today!

And our little 8 week old has slept 10 hours straight the past three nights! She will go to bed at 9pm and not wake up until 7am! I know she is just teasing me and this won't last forever, but it is still wonderful :) I haven't slept that long consecutively in months. During the last trimester of pregnancy I was up every couple of hours to pee, and once Gabi arrived I was up just as much with her (but for longer periods of time, obviously!).
