Gabrielle's first trip to the zoo

Saturday morning we were a bit bored, so we made the quick decision to head to the zoo.  We didn't get there until about 10am and I was worried we wouldn't get our fill of zoo in before Gabrielle was ready for a nap. Turns out, two hours at a zoo on an 80-some degree day is just about right!  We had a good time and Gabrielle enjoyed herself.  It's still a bit hard for her to see the sleepy animals that are just laying in their exhibit - if they aren't up and moving she doesn't really focus and look for them.  But overall it was perfect.

We got to go and pet goats.  Gabi was good at that!


















But her favorite part of the camel exhibit was stepping up the stairs and then running down the ramp on the other side as fast as she could. 








Peacocks would just wander around the zoo.  One walked right past Gabi and all she could muster up was a "hi" and wave as the bird walked past. 




Looking at the penguin exhibit.  Gabrielle would point and scream "wa-uhh wa-uhh wa-uhh!!!!!" at them (waddle waddle waddle). 


Gabi also got her first camel ride.  That's an exciting first, right??  Ha, well she did enjoy it.  Mostly when the camel would stop and then start going again, Gabi would yell "whoa-oh-oh!!!"
