A few weeks before Oliver was born, when we were still being threatened that they were going to induce our "tiny baby" any time, we hurried and bought a new car! The only thing we really considered was the Chevy Traverse. We looked and test drove one - liked it a lot! We were able to get one with what we wanted [black, silver, or gray, cloth interior, and captains chairs in the middle row instead of a bench] for an acceptable price so here is it! It seats seven and we love it!
December first Nick and I celebrated our five year anniversary! We were able to go out to dinner at Stillwater and I enjoy my first beer(s) in about 10 months. I also enjoyed a delish salmon and lobster dish - I couldn't stand seafood during both of my pregnancies, so it was great to eat/enjoy it again. We are tentatively planning a combo trip for our anniversary and birthdays (Nick's 30th!) next fall for Chicago pending a good year at work and grandmas willing to take kiddos for a couple of days.
Exciting homeowner news - we got to purchase both a hot water heater and a water softener in the past few months also. Adios $2500. :/
Nick has MSU season tickets again this year, though hasn't made it to a ton of games due to our expanding fam. He is looking to getting Oliver a ticket too in a few years, though! Nick also bought a new gun and is looking forward to getting his CCW at some point when life slows down a bit (which will be when....?)
Nick's playing in a basketball league again which he really likes. And both of us are doing the Insanity workout at home together when we can. Nick definitely more than I, though. I started a Zumba class at Gabrielle's dance studio which I really like.
We also got new living room furniture before Oliver arrived too. Our other couches were broken and stained so it was time for some new stuff. We got two swivel recliners and a couch.

And most exciting, I'm sure Nick would say, is that he got a huge deer this fall.....it "dressed out" at 192lbs I believe (minus the guts). It was a big boy!
