Oliver - 2 Months Old

Oliver is two months old now and doing great!  His check up went well and he seems to be growing great and is meeting all his milestones (smiling, lifting head, kicking legs, cooing, etc).  His left tear duct is clogged up so we need to do a little massage and warm compress to help open it up.  Other than that he had lots of smiles for the doctor and some tears when he got two shots.  All was fine though.

Weight: 12 lbs 5 oz (57th percentile)
Length: 23.5 inches (77th percentile)
Head: 41 cm (96th percentile)

He is almost 2 pounds heavier and 1.5 inches longer than Gabs was at two months.  Head, of course, is the same :)

• Does not use a pacifier what so ever - by his choice, not ours.  He likes to suck on his fist though :/
• And now we're having a bottle war too.  He used to take a bottle or nurse without much preference that we noticed.  Well, I guess we went a little too long with giving bottles regularly because now he is having issues taking one.  We are starting to try and give him one every day, but will eat a little of it if he's really hungry, then wait for the next feeding to nurse.  It's actually pretty sad when he's crying and looking at me like I'm the worst mom in the world for trying to give him this evil bottle and not giving him what he is used to :( 
• Loves to smile at contrasting things, still.  He especially loves the black action figure decals in his room.  It's a little annoying though, trying to feed him at night he'd rather smile at those guys than focus on eating.
• Supports himself on his legs when we stand him up.
• He's an ok sleeper at night......cetainly not great.  He usually gets up twice a night still (or could get up four times a night.....never know).  It is tricky to put him down lately too.  Sometimes will fall asleep and wake up several times before staying down for good.  I mean until his first feeding.....
• He goes to bed about 9pm, gets up about 1 or 2, and then 4 or 5am.  He is up for the day between 7-8am, has awake time until about 10am, naps on and off until about 4 or 5pm, then is awake (with a little nap thrown in) until bedtime about 9pm.   
• Is a pretty calm and happy baby, usually only cranky when he is hungry or tired.
• Has lots of smiles when people talk to him or when he's looking at things he likes :)
• Has the cutest little voice....his coos are becoming more common and are so sweet!
• Loves to watch his big sister run and jump and play around him.
• Likes to kick his legs and make his bouncy chair bounce.
• Just finished a pack of size 1 diapers and is in 1-2s now.
• Wears all 3 month clothing, but will have to move to 6 month shirts/onesies soon!
• Isn't so tolerant of tummy time lately, but still loves to be upright on your shoulder to sleep or to look around so there is a lot of "tummy time" spent with him looking around on our chests.
• Likes his baths!
