9 Month Stats

Gabi is all about eating big-girl food now.  I'll make her baby food myself with chicken and veggies and can barley get her to eat two ounces of it at a time.  The other day I was making baked chicken and ripped up a bunch of pieces for her to chew on and she went crazy over it!  I think she would eat pieces of cheese, avocado, chicken, or crackers all day if we let her!  I am still working on the yogurt though...I keep offering it to her and I can get her to take a few bites at best.  I tried watermelon pieces and they mostly ended up spit all over the floor.  I think on the agenda for this next week are egg yolks and cottage cheese.

We went to her 9 month check up today at her pediatrician it went very well.  No rashes, no flat spots, no issues really!  The doctor thought she was a smart little lady.  I was talking to the doctor and told her the only real word she still says is 'ba ba" and we instantly heard a little voice pipe up "BA BA BA BA BA" from on the exam table :)  She was very smiley, happy, and active.  The doctor was surprised she didn't have even a bit of stranger anxiety [which is supposedly supposed to happen right about now] but I'm hoping Gabi got that out of her system with her "monster" stage a few months ago.  Gabi was laying down and the doctor asked me if she could sit up now, and I responded that she would probably have to roll over and sit up...and Gabi rolled right over, popped herself up, and smiled at the doctor.  Little ham!  I was just happy to have an appointment where neither I nor the doc had any concerns.

Little Gabrielle's stats for 9 months are:

Weight: 17lbs 5oz (21st percentile)
Length: 28 inches (63rd percentile)  Now I'm a bit doubtful of this number.  The nurse who measures her is kind of quacky, and in the past I've asked her to remeasure Gabrielle [because her first measurement seems waaay off] and she'll come back with 1.5-2 inch difference the second time.  Just saying.
Head: 46.5 cm (97th percentile)

So, her weight went down a little, length went up quite a bit (supposedly...) and she still has a giant head.  There you have it!
