9 Months Old!

Our baby is officially done with 3/4 of her "baby" year and has been out in this world just as long as she had been with just me. Next month she'll be double digits and then soon she will be a whole year old...and we will be parents of a toddler! Nick is ready I think, but I'm not! Gabi doesn't go for her check-up until next week, so I'll have her stats then.

Her sleep is in the process of transitioning again I think, so she sleeps at night anywhere from 10-12 hours and usually takes two [but sometimes one *cringe*] naps a day.

Wears size 3 diapers.

Her hair is really starting to come in....but it's kind of crazy! I can't really tell what it is going to look like yet. Sometimes it looks very dark, but other times it looks like a light auburn color. It's really poofy and sticks out and around randomly so we'll just have to keep waiting to see!

Can still wear a lot of her 3-6 month size clothes but she also wears all her 6-9 month stuff too.

Her diet still consists of oatmeal with fruit, veggies, bottles, and Cheerios/puffs. She has eaten chicken and just tried roast beef for the first time yesterday. Nick and I bought a quarter of a cow so we had a roast from that the other night and I just processed some and added it to Gabi's regular veggies I already made. She tolerated it ok, but still wasn't crazy about it. I am also working on adding plain yogurt and egg yolks to her diet too. We found that she LOVES avocado pieces though!

She is still a toothless wonder! She will look so odd to me when that big gummy smile has a chomper or two it in some day.

She is an expert crawler (she will actually chase me and likes to be chased too!), walks well while holding our fingers, can walk on her own while pushing her walker, pulls herself up everywhere, and will walk along furniture a bit too.

Her only real word is still "ba ba". She can say "ma ma" when she's cranky, but it's not often and never on good terms. She will also whisper "pa pa". It's so funny....she'll just sit there and literally whisper "pa pa pa pa pa...". There is a little bit of gibberish here and there but she continues to be a minimally vocal child. She would much rather crawl, stand up, and play with her toys than talk.

Here are some photos I have been working on lately. Just as an FYI to everyone...I am looking for new things to take pictures of [though I do love shooting my sweet babe] so if anyone would like pictures of their kids/families/anything just let me know. I would appreciate the practice!
