.....it has been over nine months and we had our first miserable restaurant experience with Gabi. We were that couple in the restaurant with the screaming, cranky, awful child. Thank goodness we were only at Flap Jacks on Saturday morning...but still, it was no fun! Honestly it was part our fault [dragging Gabi to a restaurant instead of letting her take a nap] and part the restaurant's fault [since when does it take 45 minutes to get served eggs??]. Oh well. We take our little G pretty much everywhere with us and she has always done pretty fabulous, so we were due for one of those eating out experiences.
Anyways, Nick and I have had a great weekend! On Friday our friends Sarah and Marc got married. They had a beautiful wedding Friday afternoon and then an amazing reception in the evening. Sarah plays volleyball with us so our whole Team 5 crew was there and we all had a blast. Gabrielle spent the day with Grandma Billie and then friends Amanda and Todd came and took over until we got home in the wee hours. Saturday morning Nick and I were in great need of some greasy sausage and eggs [insert horrific restaurant experience here]. That night our neighbors had the 1st annual Beer-Olympics. Yeah....all of the neighbors got together and we played yard/drinking games all night. Our friends Steve and Alexis took the trophy (seriously...there was a trophy). I think Nick and I took 5th out of about 10 teams or so. Haha, oh well. Gabi had a blast playing with all of the kids....but I've noticed a bunch of thick green goop coming out of her left eye today....ick. I'm in denial and hoping it's just a little fluke and not an eye infection : /
No pictures this time...I haven't taken any lately. I leave for CALIFORNIA this week to see my best girl Caresse!!! I am so very excited and really need to think about packing soon! I am going to be away from my baby for three nights and four days...I don't want to think about that part :( But Gabi is spending couple of days with G&G McCallum and then home with daddy over the weekend and then I'll be home Sunday evening! It is going to be sooo fun to be carefree in NoCal and I am *plug your ears Gabi* really really looking forward to it! :)
