Yup....I made my first couple of batches of baby food for Gabi. Poor girl :) First I made carrots & chicken and peas & chicken [making and processing my own chicken and mixing it with Gerber veggies]. She liked it...ok. Then I made a broccoli, spinach, and brown rice mix totally from scratch. She liked it....less than the chicken and veggie. Overall it was kind of an "eh" reaction. We'll keep trying and hopefully she will get more used to the different texture.
Also....Gabi can pull herself up on our ottoman/coffee table now! These past few days have been crazy with her wanting to stand up. Everything is better standing up at the moment. She also stood up in the bathtub and got sat back down about 10 times before she gave up and just cried through her whole bath. When the dishwasher is open she loves to pull herself up on that and then slide the bottom rack back and forth.
We can entertain her with walking, though. She grabs onto Nick's fingers and she'll walk with him all the way through the living room and kitchen. She gets the biggest kick out of taking her little steps. She even can walk by HERSELF while pushing her walker. Seriously. This little eight month old is outta control. I hope you all are getting ready for that video next post ;)
And something I find just so sweet that she can do now....she'll crawl over to me and climb into my lap all by herself :) It's so cute that now that she is independent and mobile she actually chooses to come over and snuggle with her mama.

I can't wait for the next video!!! Also, I love the new blog design. I'm not sure what your thoughts are, but the "main" photo of Gabi is the one I think she looks like you!
