That's what G baby did yesterday when she made her first trip to the dentist. Did she ever enjoy playing in the waiting room, sitting in the big chair with mommy, having the nice hygienist talk to her and letting her play with her very own new toothbrush. Laying back and having the dentist with the scary glasses look and prod inside her mouth.....she definitely wasn't a fan. I got to have her on my lap on hold her hands down while she screamed. No fun! It was over very quickly though, the the joke was on the dentist. G was so mad she took a giant poo during the exam. Haha! Once the exam was over and Gabi sat up, she was happy again. She gave the dentist a high-five and waved bye bye when she left. Everything looks fine with her teeth and the visit was mostly to get Gabi used to going to a dentist and to be sure that nothing major appears wrong.
I got the lecture about the pacifier....yeah I'll get right on that. I haven't even attempted to take it away yet. She only uses it when she is really tired or sleeping. I'm hoping she will self-wean (which she may even be starting), but my goal is to have it gone by 18 months.

Yeah, you learn all sorts of things! Her pedi, my dentist, and the What to Expect the First Year book all said kids should see the dentist at their one year birthday. Who would have thought!
