She has her dad's teeth

Gabrielle went to her 18 month dentist appointment this week and we have some fun stories from that.  Gabs didn't like the waiting room, or the walk back to the exam room, or being in the exam room, or having the hygienist and dentist talk to her.  Since her broken wrist, she has been pretty afraid of doctors and such.  The hygienist didn't even look at her teeth since she was so worked up - she just waited for the dentist to do it.  The dentist said everything looked fine and there were no signs of cavities.  She did say, however, that the little piece of skin that connects the top lip to the front of the top gum was very long.  When that is elongated it will cause the top front two teeth to gap.  Hello - thanks daddy genes once again.  The dentist said that it may need to be cut eventually, but they will just keep an eye on it for now.

Gabs is cutting all four eye teeth (yep - week of fever and diaper rash hell - check).  She still only has the two middle teeth and one side tooth on the bottom - here's the kicker - the dentist said that Gab's might be missing that other side tooth!  She couldn't say for sure, but since it's been this long and there's no sign of it cutting through it may not come.  She said it was totally normal and not indicative of missing adult teeth.  Whew!  Well, we will see I guess.  Maybe she will need little baby dentures? :)

Gabrielle really is continuing to have more and more words that she is saying.  A few new ones are turn, chair, stick, cheek, green, chin, teeth, again, ghi cheese (grilled cheese)....etc....etc.  She tries to copy so much now, and succeeds a lot of the time.  A lot of the words she says are similar - she still can't make sounds like j, f, or l (to name a few).  But she is definitely more vocal and getting there.  At night right before she goes up to bed, she'll have to find each dog and say "Ey dah! Ey dah!" (night dog).

She is also definitely growing up due to the fact that she doesn't want to sleep anymore!  She does (thankfully) but it is always crying/complaining/hiding before the fact.  She'll shake her head no and angrily say "ya ya ya ya ya ya!".  We've tried to teach her to say no, but I guess screaming "ya ya ya!" in a heated moment is easier?

However - every time I ask her a question and her answer is yes, she'll answer "yeah!".  She'll shake her head yes and say "yeah!".  I guess I'm a bad a grammar roll model - oh well haha!

And she's finally outgrown her little size 4 shoes and shes in a 5 now!  All of a sudden I had to shove her chubby little foot in her shoes...it was time for new ones!

And here's just a crazy video of Gabs last night.  This pretty much sums up her!
