Yard Improvements

About a month ago we closed in the area under our deck.  It used to be just open with mulch underneath.  Well, our dogs loved to tear under/through there every chance they got and it was just a mess.  Now it's all closed off and clean - with storage underneath! 

We (mostly Nick) also built Gabrielle a toddler playground wonderland!  When we moved in, the woman before us had a huge garden in the backyard.  I tried gardening for a year or two but it just definitely wasn't for me.  So instead of the garden just being a huge eyesore, I gutted it and Nick turned it into a play area for Gabi.  We filled it with 30 bags of mulch, bought a sandbox, and a toddler play structure to put in there.  It's perfect!  And Gabi loves it!  Today, her play house sat in the sun all day (obviously) and she went to play on it at about 4:30.  She touched the ladder and pulled away and said "hot!".  Then she went around and touched the slide and said "Hot.  All done." And walked away.  Goodness....I didn't know that she really knew what hot was but I guess she does - and she can say it!

"Patiently" waiting while dad puts everything together.....

All done!

At 8:00am the next day we were back out there....

Getting sand/woodchips in the shoes isn't fun....
