First solid food attempt...rather successful

Gabrielle had her first solid food today! I don't really know what crazy doctor every applied the term "solid" to that rice cereal junk....but whatever. Gabi started with brown rice cereal as recommended by her pedi, which will hopefully help with her constipation issues. Really, it went pretty well! She wasn't too sure at first and I'm not sure how much she actually swallowed, but she never cried and was pretty interested in trying to eat it.

Eating was ok, but what she really wanted to do is hold the bowl!

And then my little DIY project...painting the little bookshelf my parents gave her.

And yes, I did my usual paint color choosing thing....getting paint samples and not liking any of them and then choosing a color on the fly at the store. It turned out great though!

Her favorite toy of the moment. She is completely interested in rattles and loves to shake them as hard as she can...but usually ends up bashing herself in the head.

I got smart (actually, advice from another mom) and put a pillow underneath her jumper until she grows into it. It works great!
