Well, Gabrielle went back to her pediatrician today to check on how her speech (if you call "ba ba ba ba ba" speech...) is doing. She still doesn't really say anything other than "ahhh" or squeal and shriek. I guess babies are supposed to be saying mama, dada, and baba by six months old and Gabi doesn't do that. They did a few different hearing tests and everything appears to be normal. Her social, motor, and problem solving skills are all excellent so they are calling this an isolated concern. "Concern" is even a pretty harsh work....basically she just doesn't really talk yet, and there is no rhyme, reason, or problem having to do with it. Woohoo!!
They checked her weight and at 7mo 1wk 4d old she is 16lbs 4 oz which is the 30th percentile. They didn't check her length, but I had them check her head circumference and it only grew a 1/2 centimeter from her six month visit so we're down to the 95th percentile on that one! Haha.
All in all, everything looks ok (which I thought it would be) and Gabrielle will just go back for her regular nine month well check in August!
