My first post from my new LAPTOP!

Yeppers!  We are the proud new owners of a pretty awesome laptop - well I guess I am, technically.  We had talked about it for quite some time, but we (I) always thought it was not really necessary.  With me loving to work with my photos, our current comp was stressing a bit under the new burdens I was putting on it.  Nick told me on Monday that he had ordered me a surprise and it would be here later in the week.  Cool!  Awesome!  Haha, I had no idea what he really could have found...but who doesn't like a surprise??

Well, then the next day we ran into some drama.  In the evening we discovered a cat (or cats) peed in a laundry basket and in Gabi's toy.  We figured the cats would have to be put down at this point, as neither of us wanted out house ruined with cat pee.  Even though this was necessary, it was still hard for me and Nick knew this.  He took them to the vet and had them checked for UTIs just to be sure and then called the animal shelter for options if the UTI wasn't the culprit.  He came home and took the cats to the vet for me (I assumed was the last time I would see them).  Nick said even though he didn't really like the cats he was sad to see them go - they were part of the family!  The burden was off of me and Nick took care of it (love him!).

They spent the night at the vet and the next day Nick called me and told me the cats were coming home!  Pudge had a really bad UTI and George had a small infection.  They came home and will be on antibiotics for the next two weeks.  At that point they will be checked again and hopefully they will only be going in their boxes.  We're not out of the woods yet, but we hope clearing up these infections cure them.

So in the middle of this drama I was pretty down....and then my much needed surprise came!  I was so excited for my new computer and we absolutely love it!  And then the good news that my kitties get another chance and hopefully feel better soon.  It was a good day.

So........in other news...

We bought Gabrielle a potty last weekend, but we really could have waited a bit longer for this...haha.  I figured it could hurt to get one and get her used to sitting on it (all of her other little friends seem to have potties to sit on so I figured why not).  Well, it was too big to just sit on - she had to climb on it.  I don't think she gets it at all, but she figured out a way to get on it....except her feet are in the middle part.  Oops.  I think it will be a while before we think of starting the potty after all......hahahaha....

(and don't mind her crazy outfit.  She was in her emergency pants because she had a poopslosion while we were at dinner).  Yummy.
