You have to give them credit

I definitely give moms credit who dare and take their broken/bruised/disheveled child out in public.  Let me tell you - it's not fun!  I guess you'd give any mom the side eye if she was carting around a kid in a cast, but the pitiful "Oh that poor baby!  What happened?  How long does she have to wear the cast for?  Did she adjust ok to having it on?  So when does she get it off?  Oh that poor baby...just looking at her breaks my heart!" string of questions and comments from every person that lays eyes on her gets pretty annoying. 

I kind of dread going anywhere with her.....but honestly that dread only lasts a second.  I love my kiddo and I'm not going to keep her cooped up inside just because I don't want to deal with stranger comments.  We go back to the library and her playgroups and she loves it :) 


Gabrielle found Nick's sunglasses the other day and was obsessed with putting them on, so I got hers out to put on too. 

And Gabrielle has also been obsessed with my headbands too.  She won't wear her own but she loves to put mine on! 

Oh - and G learned how to say "please" really well last week!  It is so darn cute!  I'll be eating something and she walked up to me and say "pees?" with a hopeful little smile on her face...so CUTE!  She'll also point at the refrigerator and say "pees" until I get out what she has a hankering for.  Haha......love it.
