Words galore and 18 month photos

Gabi is getting more words and she's on quite a roll!  Tree, rock, eyes, and her baby sitter's name (Stacey) are her newest.  She likes to point out every "tee!" and "rha!" when outside.  She'll point to Stacey's house and says "Stee-cee" or "Cee-cee".  We were looking at her word book yesterday and she pointed to the word "eyes" and said clear as day "eyes".....and liked to find/poke out our eyes and say "eyes!" all night after that.  Haha.  She's also starting to identify water by "wah" and milk by "mmm" but those are still pretty rough.  Corinne and I also heard Gabi say "Corinne" twice!  It sounded more like "Touren" but still, pretty good! 
All those hours of reading Dr. Seuss alphabet books are paying off too.  We found out Gabi can repeat a good majority of letters after we say them.  She can also tell me what letter is next a few times!

What a genius.  Ha, just kidding ;)

So, I knew I wanted to try and get some 18 month photos of our sweetie, but the weather has been just crazy lately.  I tried waiting for a nice warm evening with a clear setting sun.  Didn't happen.  I ran out the other night with G for about a half hour and tried to get some pics, even though the nice sunny day had given way to a cloudy, windy evening :/ 

This picture makes her look like she has such a full head of hair!  Still not really the case....it's a fun mix of stringy straights, waves, and curls.  Hopefully someday either the curls will straighten or the straights will curl....so she can have a matching set of front and back hair :)

A nice [older] guy offered to take a picture of Gabi and me on the slide.  So nice!  Don't mind how nappy I look.  Nick and I worked out in our yard all day that day....but that's a whole other post, haha!

So there you have it.  Nothing exceptional, but a few more picture to add to the pile!  I've decided that I'm going to try and take our own family pictures this year.  I don't think I can stomach another trip to Portrait Innovations.  There are lots of bad "photographers" out there...many more bad than good, at least in our area.  And the good ones charge more money than I'd like to spend this year.  We're either going to tripod it or rope someone into snapping a few of us.  We'll see!

And a quick mention of our lovely evening last night.  Around 2:00am Gabrielle starts screaming and crying.....very weird.  I get up and go in her room and she is just roasting.  Her room might have been a bit warm, but nothing too bad.  I get her clothes off and bring her downstairs and turn the fan on.  She still wants to be held, though, and she finally calmed down.  After about 45 minutes off sitting naked in front of a fan in the living room she still seemed warm so I took her temp in was almost 102!  I gave her some Tylenol and there was no way she was going back in her crib.  She didn't want to and I was kind of worried about her too, so we slept together in the guest bed - her just in her diaper laid out on the sheet and me next to her under a blanket, haha.  She was up with the sun this morning and has been doing ok.  She didn't have a temp this morning, so hopefully everything is good. 

Ok ok, that is it for now!  I work the next couple of days so G will have lots of fun at Stee-cee's house :)
