We've started having dinner at the dinner table with Gabrielle and having her eat what we've been eating. The first night she had picnic ham roast [which was odd...like a cross between ham and roast beef] and mashed potatoes. The next night she had some of the turkey veggie loaf I made [so good - basically a spicy turkey meat loaf with chopped broccoli, carrots, and spinach mixed in] and bread. Last night we had dinner at Nick's parents' and she had tacos! I was a bit hesitant...but Nick made up her tray with tomatoes, soft tortilla pieces, taco meat, and cheese. She loved it all!! She really enjoys eating at the table with people so she usually does pretty well with it. Last weekend she went with me and my parents out to lunch and had spaghetti [loved it!], cottage cheese, and bread. She is becoming such a big girl eater!
Gabrielle is working on her balance too....I can stand her up and she will be able to stand there and balance all by herself for 10-20 seconds [and clap or play with a toy while doing it]! From there she will usually get bored and either sit down or jump at me to catch her :) Once she practices her balance a little bit more I bet she will be ready to take steps soon.
I am currently busy try to get everything for Gabi around and notes written for our trip. We're leaving next Tuesday night and I have sooo much to do yet. I work this Thursday and Friday, working at our Mom's club recruitment fair Saturday morning, and then getting the finishing touches around for our vacation :)
Trying to pry the baby gate off of the stairs....
At Grandma Billie and Grandpa Ron's....right before she tried to eat all of the rocks in their driveway and got yelled at....
