Car Seats, Shoes, & Playing Outside

Going along with the theme of our baby becoming a big girl, Gabi just got her new toddler car seat!  She still fit in her infant carrier, but I figured she might as well transition to her next seat since I had a coupon to buy it anyway.  It's bigger for her and has cup holders...haha.

Gabrielle is getting to the point where she needs shoes and she has some nice mary jane-style play shoes that I like but she needed some fall weather shoes.  Take a look at these snazzy kicks :)  They're great!  They have the flexible bottom which she still needs, and has Velcro "laces" which I need...haha.

I purchased Gabi's first Halloween costume and it should arrive in the mail shortly :)  I'm pretty darn excited about this one, let me tell you, I just hope she will wear it for a little bit : /  The baby headbands are definitely a thing of the past because she yanks them right off.  Her costume doesn't have a headband or anything, but still, she can be picky about what she wears.  Halloween is pretty much going to be her last "first" of her baby year :(  We can't forget what Gabi was last year.....

Nick and I made an appearance at Jason and Corinne's Halloween party last year, despite me being nine months pregnant and contracting basically the whole time we were there.  I was a "knocked up baby-mama".  Yeah, pretty bad, I know.  My tank top says "Are you my Daddy?"  Nick was Clark Kent.  Anyways, my point is that pretty much anything Gabi is for Halloween is better than an over-grown fetus which she was last year.
I'm pretty sure that was our last "family" picture before little girl made her appearance 13 days later.
**Please note that that was an EMPTY beer can I carried as part of my costume.  I heard somebody at the party actually thought I was drinking.  Duh!

I took some pictures of Gabi playing outside a couple of days ago.  Boy, does she love playing with the mulch on the concrete!  And pushing her baby walker around on a fall afternoon is pretty much her favorite.

Haha, no. They were $9 at Babies R Us :) They are already torn apart though...so maybe the $50 baby shoes are worth it??
