I took Gabi to a pottery studio so she could make some crafts for her Grandmothers for Mother's Day. We made a vase for Grandma Billie who likes to keep cut flowers in her house, and a flower pot for Grandma Joanne who has a green thumb. You can't get a good look at the flower pot but you get the idea!

My First Mother's Day
Mother's Day is to recognize mothers and all the work they do. Pregnancy, childbirth, and nursing every two or three hours for weeks on end even though I was a sleep deprived walking zombie are only a few of the things I have done for my daughter in the few short months I've been a mother. Yes, I work very hard for my family but they are the biggest gifts I could ever be given. I have never taken for granted that we have our daughter or that she came to us so quickly. I used to think women were *pathetic* when they said their kids are their lives, but Gabrielle means everything to me. I could lose everything else, and as long as I had Nick and Gabrielle I would be ok. Now, I know she has her personality quirks that have challenged me and a rash on her face that doesn't want to go away, but I wouldn't change her for the world. She is a strong, sweet, and spirited little baby that is full of life and that is all I could ever ask for.
